This 1923 "CASE" threshing machine was donated by Jim and Mary Anderson of Westbridge BC. Threshing grain in the fall required a dozen men and many teams of horses. A 4-horse team was used to haul the machine around because the steam traction tractor engines were not strong enough. In 1914, a group of farmers purchased shares and formed a company known as the "Rock Creek Threshing Co." Threshing would continue through the fall and was often still in full swing at Halloween. Thank you to swope2bc for cache container.
