This 28 kilometre one way trail is based on the movement of Yellagonga and his people between Lake Joondalup and Yanchep.
The trail has been upgraded by the City of Wanneroo to a crush limestone base and is suitable for mountain bikes or walking. The whole length is 28 Kms and its rated as a grade 3. It comprises 3 sections running from Neil Hawkins Reserve in Joondalup to Yanchep National Park in the North. The series is just over 4.9 Kms long (one way gate to gate) and comprises 20 caches placed just off the path, its a nice walk or ride that takes you into some lovely country..
This section is in part of the Yanchep National Park so no dogs are allowed and there is no fees charged on this side, however if you wish to go to the other side of the trail and into the National Park there are fees chargeable.
You are looking for a camouflaged small sistema 200ml container with log book, a path tag but no writing stick, so please bring your own. Please replace as found and respect the bush, watch out for nasties and some of the plants are quite prickly, so, as always, exercise care.
