A note from the CO - I've been struggling to work out Mogmother's nearby Q File series for the last couple of weeks. At the time of publication I still haven't solved them all, but decided I had to get my revenge. Bwaah haa haa haa haa!
A deleted scene from the movie “Goldfinger”
The scene – Auric Goldfinger’s laboratory. James Bond (Sean Connery) is captured and lies shackled and spread-eagled face up on a gold table. His eyes are closed. An industrial laser, currently turned off, is mounted above him. Goldfinger (Gert Fröbe) stands behind.
Bond opens his eyes.
Auric Goldfinger: Ah, Mister Bond. So good of you to join us.
James Bond: What is this plashe?
AG: Welcome to my laboratory. As you see, it is fitted with the latest cutting-edge technology. (He switches the laser on)
JB: Very impresshive. Is that for cutting out the pointlessh witticisms?
AG: Let’s not beat about the bush, Mister Bond. You have been, shall we say, Scrabbling around in my affairs for too long. It is time for a game of my own.
JB: More Scrabble, I shuppose.
AG: Of course, Mister Bond, but to my rules, not yours. And then we shall play another game.
JB: What game is that, Goldfinger?
AG: One I know you will enjoy. (He bends down and whispers something in Bond’s ear. Bond turns white.)
JB: You fiend – you wouldn’t dare.
AG: Oh, but I would. (He flicks another switch, and the laser starts advancing up the table towards the top of Bond’s legs.) Goodbye Mister Bond. I shall enjoy knowing I have defeated you at last.
JB: Do you ekshpect me to talk?
AG: No, Mister Bond. I expect you to cry!
