Geocache Description:

Locally this road is known as the Rock Road. It climbs up about 40m is a little bit steep but easily walked. From here you can see Lough Patrick, and behind the opposite side of the valley is Lough Derravaragh [lock der-ah-var-ah] with Knock Eyon [nok eye-n] in the background.

There is a loop walk, which would take around an hour or so but half of it is on the main road. I would suggest walking up the rock road to pick the 2 caches and then back the way you came. Otherwise you can continue on and visit Stone Hall.

You can alternatively drive the whole route, it is a uncovered road, very rough in places but

drivable, remember it’s called the rock road. Parking in gateways, please don’t block the road as it is in constant use by local farmers.

The photo is taken from the cache location.

This is part of our first 4 caches placed out of love for geocaching and our local area.
