Rural towns are often quite a distance from each other and this stretch of the Eyre Highway is no different. Wudinna has a small population (about 400 in the town and 1200 in the district) but they are the most welcoming you will find in your travels. Stop for a few minutes in this lovely quiet town and it could be hours before you leave. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Driving along the highway you may have passed more than a few locals giving you a friendly wave as you drive past them. Not something that happens in too many places.
There are a few great stores to be found in the town and is popular with travellers as a lunch or smoko stop. Stay longer and there are a number of interesting places to visit, like the Granite Rock Trail and Gawler Ranges National Park.
This cache is located at the western end of the town near the pull in bay. There is enough parking room for a number of vehicles including caravans, with shelter, seating and a nice grassy area.
Please ensure that the cache is returned to its original position and kept well hidden. .
You are looking for a regular sized screw top container containing goodies which are good for kids. This cache was replaced 10.03.24 as it went missing late 2023. Co-ordinates were changed due to changes to the environment. .
