Geocache Description:

If you are on the main ATV trail from Jackman, Maine, heading north to Quebec, Canada, or are hiking the trail to Slidedown Falls, this cache is for you.

By ATV, follow the ITS 89 trail north from Jackman towards Quebec.  When you come to the mouth of the Slidedown Trail along the Dumas South Road in Sandy Bay Township, you are near the cache.  (The mouth of the trail is marked with a sign.)

By car/pickup/SUV, from the Route 201 bridge over the Moose River in Jackman, Maine, drive north 7 miles to the Dumas South Road, which is on the left.  (The Dumas South Road is a gravel land management road in a working forest.  There is a sign at the mouth of the road.)  Follow the road for a little over 1.5 miles to a yellow gate.  (Please do not block the gate.  There are plenty of parking spots close to the gate.)  From there you will have to park and walk 0.7 mile to the mouth of the Slidedown Trail.  The cache is located close to the mouth of the trail.
