This mystery cache is to provide you an oppurtunity to explore a small but important memorial site in Wilson, NC. The posted coordinates will take to a Veterans memorial featuring several memorial items for those in service from Wilson County NC. Here you will find plaques and monuments honoring Veterans from WW1, WW2, the Vietnam and Korean War. Please take a moment to pay your respects and remember any veterans you have in your family or that you may know. One of my grandfathers(Lloyd Webb) and a great uncle(Curits Flowers) both served proudly during WW2.
You will find the cache hidden at the following coordinates N35 AB.CDE W077 FG.HIJ
You will find all the needed information in and around the posted coords. AB= The Flag Pole was donated by a local tire company. Take the numerical value of the President's middle initial and add 40. CDE= There is a small plaque at the bottom of the Vietnam Veterans memorial. Take the year of dedication and subtract 1488. FG = Take the number of armed services featured at the base of the flagpole and add 49 HIJ= There is a large stone moneument on the left side for Wounded Veterans. Take the chapter number for the Military Order of the Purple Heart that erected it and subtract 71. Cache is short distance away, in a spot that is normally muggle free, but from time to time there are informal meetings held there, so be alert.
