Geocache Description:

The name of this cache says it all - if you come in the late afternoon, you will be rewarded with a view of one of the finest sceneries the Murray Valley has to offer- covered in spectacular warm light only the setting sun can provide.

A (very short) bit of history to motivate you even further:

“The Sandy Creek Bridge forms a portion of the High Country Rail Trail. The Sandy Creek Bridge was reconstructed in 2012 with a 600 metre architecturally designed pedestrian and cycling bridge, sitting on the original rail pylons stripped of track after the Cudgewa branch line closed in 1981.

Adjacent to the bridge are picnic tables and a viewing platform to take in the spectacular scenery.”

This is what the official website of Victoria’s High Country says about the location of this cache. We have decided to place it here simply because we love to go for evening runs from one of the parking lots along High Country Rail Trail to this side of the bridge and admire the sunset ourselves. Be prepared to find a rather uncommon geocache, so please take note of the following:

-DO NOT UNTIE anything and THINK FIRST before you act- It might be very helpful to READ THE HINT, even AFTER YOU SPOTTED IT (following geo-hunters will thank you for it)

-Please resist the urge to place ANY TRADABLE ITEMS in the container- it will help the cache to survive

Please replace as found, otherwise it might get lost quickly. (we marked the nearest parking, but there is another parking lot ~3km to the other side of the bridge as well which we usually use for our runs)
