Geocache Description:

Welcome to Clue, The Geocaching Edition!

Much like the classic board game, to play this version you must find the correct combination of suspect, weapon, and room in order to find the mystery cache, which is the murder victim, Mr. Boddy. This series contains 30 caches total, but not all need to be found in order to find the information needed. All of the caches are placed on Route 2 between Bethel and Rumford Center and on Route 26 between Newry and Upton (I would recommend doing Route 2 first, hint hint). The correct suspect, weapon, and room will have partial coordinates that will lead to the mystery cache. The other 26 caches will contain no evidence.

I also need to give a huge shout out to my Mom, Mummie91957, for helping me immensely with this series. Without her, this series would’ve taken much longer to plan out.

Mr. Boddy is standing in the middle of the hall in his mansion. He is taking in the portraits that hang on the walls of the grand hall including his. Sighing, he turns and enters the dining room seeing the table is set, candlesticks are lit and ready for the guests. He walks into the kitchen, sees the food is ready to go so he heads to the door leading to the rose garden, looking at the wrench as he passes. Shrugging, he opens the door and enters the rose garden where he can smell the fragrant roses. He wrinkles his nose. He never liked the rose garden but the ladies love it so he has kept it the way it is. He stumbles on a bottle but simply kicks it away as he heads for the fountain. The water cascading down the bowls to the basin at the bottom is usually a tranquil place for him but tonight the sound of the water is getting on his nerves. He walks away tripping over a lead pipe on the ground. He scowls, kicks the lead pipe out of the way and heads for the conservatory. Here he looks around, and seeing that the fruit trees need trimming, he picks up the knife to do just that, but realizes he doesn’t have time. He puts it down and heads to his study. As he passes the ballroom he peeks in, sees half-polished candlesticks on a table, sighs and continues on. He passes the billiard room wishing he had time to play a game of pool but again he does not have time. He passes the library where he sees a book out of place; he stops, puts it back in its place, and continues on passing the lounge. In the lounge he notices the door to his trophy cabinet seems to be open. Giving it a quick glance, he sees nothing amiss, so he closes the door and walks away. Finally he is in his study. He carefully looks at the papers on his desk, smiling as he does so. He knows his guests are in for a big surprise and he can’t wait to see what happens. He turns to the gun cabinet that holds his revolvers; he unlocks it, takes out a gun and places that gun in one of the desk drawers. He wants it close in case his guests get angry and try something. He closes the cabinet door and giving one last glance at the papers he laughs and walks back out into the hall. Smirking now he takes one last glance at the portraits, notices he left his rope on the hall table, but doesn’t have time to put it away. He looks at the entrance door knowing his guests will arrive soon. He was involved with two of the guests and has had dealings with the others. He knows all their secrets, ALL their secrets. He laughs again and heads for the stairs to go to his bedroom to get ready for the evening. It should be an interesting dinner party. He can’t wait.
