The Lisa Killough Trail in the Rancho San Vicente section of Calero County Park is a beautiful new trail. It’s nicely constructed and has a mild grade, beautiful views, and varied terrain. It does have a lot of sun, though. This cache is in area of shady oaks between the trail and a service road. It’s easy to access from the trail, but if you’re hiking the Cottle - Lisa Killough loop clockwise, you can also take the service road near GC7N2E4 and it’s even easier! (There’s no sign saying you can’t take the service road, and I was told by a ranger that it’s okay to use it.)
The cache is a hanging pill bottle. It’s a very large pill bottle and the tree isn’t particularly bushy, so hopefully it won’t be too hard to spot. Please try to ensure that it isn’t too easy to spot when you leave.
Park hours are 8:00am to sunset. Happy hunting!
