On the day I placed this cache, I hiked the Lisa Killough - Cottle trail loop heading counter-clockwise. It was a fantastic hike on a beautiful trail, but by the time I got to this final stretch of the trail, I was so tired and hot that any spot to rest looked great. I still had one cache container that I wanted to place. This area has a gentle slope on both the uphill and downhill sides of the trail, so I left my last cache here and sat and enjoyed the scenery for a while. There's a good view of the Almaden - Calero Canal from this spot. I don't know if you can really call the canal a scenic view, but I imagine it's something to see in the winter.
You're looking for a medium-sized container hidden in a straightforward manner. Look for a nice place to sit on the uphill side of the trail, and that will probably get you there.
