UK Mega 2020

So, the date of the UK Mega 2020 is 8th August, but where will it be?

Join us in Whiteways between 11am and 3pm on 18th November 2018 to find out!

This is the first of many events that will be hosted by the Sussex UK Mega Team and today is the day to find out where! Why not come along and join us, be among the first to learn the venue and meet the team.

Of course we are not just going to say where it is when you turn up 😈. We reckoned as geocachers, you may like a little treasure hunt to make it a bit more interesting. There will be a few prizes to reward you for you efforts too. We will of course have some of our mega merchandise with us, and a few games plus a raffle, to celebrate the countdown to our Mega. So make sure you bring your purse/wallet 😉

The Race to 2020

Today will also see the start of our race to 2020; in conjunction with our sponsor, South Downs National Park Authority, we have got some new shiny racing travel bugs for sale. These will race to our 2020 Mega event; but don't panic if you can't make the event today, these tags will be available from our mega shop from 18th November - details of which can be found here.


We will be tracking all the TBs over the next 629 days and keeping an eye on their journeys. Prizes are up for grabs for five different categories which will be announced at the event; with the winners announced on Mega day.

We will also be joined today by the South Downs National Park Authority guardians of the only GeoTour in England and our sponsor today who can supply you with the new GeoTour passports and a chance to attain some of their Geocoins.





The event will run today from 11am till 3pm with the mini treasure hunt starting at 12noon. There is plenty of free parking at Whiteways picnic area and somewhere to get a cuppa and hot food as well.

A few new caches will be published at 1.00pm but if you're here on time you may get a head start.
