Geocache Description:


Eric Allen Stonestreet was born in Kansas City, Kansas on September 9, 1971. He grew up in this area learning his work ethic from his father. By the fourth grade, had his own pig operation taking them to market twice every year. During his childhood, he wanted to become a clown. As a child, he created a clown character named Fizbo, and by age 11 was performing at 6 and 7-year-olds’ birthday parties. You can still catch him playing Fizbo the Clown on ABC's Modern Family from time to time.
Eric graduated from Piper High School just down this road to the west and north.


Stonestreet was studying criminal justice to be a prison administrator while at Kansas State University where he graduated with a degree in sociology in 1996.
While at KSU he auditioned on a dare and won the smallest role in his first play, Prelude to a Kiss, going on to perform in several others. He went on to study improv at ImprovOlympic and The Second City Training Center in Chicago.

He made his film debut in Almost Famous, as desk clerk Sheldon. He played in Girls Will Be Girls, The Island, and Ninja Cheerleaders. He also appeared in the movies Identity Thief as Big Chuck, and Bad Teacher as Kirk.
Eric also provided the voice of Duke in The Secret Life of Pets (2016).

He has guest starred in television shows, such as Dharma & Greg, ER, Malcolm in the Middle, The Mentalist, NCIS, Nip/Tuck, Party of Five, Spin City, The West Wing, Pushing Daisies, Greg the Bunny, Providence, Close to Home, Crossing Jordan, Bones, Monk, and American Horror Story.


Stonestreet is most known for playing Cameron Tucker in ABC's Modern Family. He is also notable for his role as Ronnie Litre on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
In his role as Cameron on Modern Family, Stonestreet earned three consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (2010, 2011 and 2012), winning the award in 2010 and 2012. He also received three Golden Globe Award nominations (2010, 2011 and 2013).

Eric is proud Kansas City fan. He is often seen at Arrowhead for the Chiefs and the K for the Royals, especially for the opening games of the season.
Eric is also a fan of NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick and can often be seen sitting in his pit box at the races.


Every year Eric locally hosts the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend with other famous Kansas City area natives. It is a star studded time that benifits Children’s Mercy, one of the nation’s top pediatric medical centers that is based in KC. Along with actors, Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, David Koechner and other celebrity guests they have raised more than $6 million through sponsorships, a live auction and an online fundraising campaign. The weekend has included everything from a poker tournament, softball games, and a bowling tournament to a Comicon type Q&A.



Eric says, "I'm a regular dude from Kansas who grew up with pigs and cows."
