Today is ” National Rum Punch Day ”!

Since September 19th is ‘Talk Like a Pirate day’ it would seem only logical that it would be followed by ‘National Rum Punch Day’! Although the origins are murky (maybe too much rum?) people have celebrated this holiday for a number of years now. So how should one celebrate the day? With a rum punch drink of course!
So here’s a recipe to get started. The first known print reference to Planter's Punch was in the August 8, 1908 edition of The New York Times:

PLANTER'S PUNCH
This recipe I give to thee,
Dear brother in the heat.
Take two of sour (lime let it be)
To one and a half of sweet,
Of Old Jamaica pour three strong,
And add four parts of weak.
Then mix and drink. I do no wrong —
I know whereof I speak.

So what better way than to start your day with a good hearty breakfast, and maybe if you’re feeling a little punchy…

The event??
Breakfast With The Gang. Breakfast With The Geocachers. Bulging Waistlines Totally Grew. Breakfast With The Goofballs. Beware When Travis Geocaches. Breakfast With Team Geochef. Best Way To Geocache. Breakfast While Talking Geocaching. BWTG="Brian-Wussy; Travis-Greatest".

Call it what you want, but whatever you call it, it IS good food and great company. So let's get together, talk caching, and eat!

What do I do AFTER the event?
