The Church of Cosío is a construction of the seventeenth century rebuilt at the beginning of the nineteenth, but it seems that already in the thirteenth century there was a church in this same place, on which were rebuilt at least two temples, one already existing in the century XVII and another rebuilt at the beginning of the XIX. Of the original Gothic building nothing is conserved, however, of the building of the XVII the apse is still conserved as it should have been with its vaults, its stone buttresses and others.
