Event moved to Gabriel Dumont Park!! N 52 6.785 W 106° 40.628
With harvest over (hopefully!!) thoughts turn to lovely fall walks and poker because.... well, you know. Thus this little poker rally caching event for all to enjoy!
The game will start at 3:30pm at the above Coordinates. When you arrive you will be given the coordinates of 7 hides within the park and area. Each hide will have sealed envelopes with a card in each of them. Collect one envelope per team at each cache and return to the starting spot. Do not open the envelopes until you have returned and they have been verified by the Dealer. It's up to you to decide how many cards you wish to collect. You may turn in any number of cards up to 5 as your final hand, so if you think your one card will beat everyone else's hands then good luck... lots and lots of luck.
There will be one Joker amoungst all of the cards and it is wild, so very wild! It may be used to be any one card of your choice!
You will have 2.5 hours to complete these finds.
At 6pm the Dealer will get the end game going! Each team will submit the best poker hand they have and a winner will be determined. You do not need to know much or anything about poker to play, instructions and help will be provided.
We will have snacks and drinks available for those with munchies and will have a supply of firewood in case anyone wishes to bring food to cook. Plates and cutlery will be provided but you will need to bring anything required to cook your food (ie wiener stick) and you may want to bring chairs of your choosing.
Be sure to bring your GPSr, and get ready for a great time. All are welcome, old, new, young, out of town, in town, friends, and relatives.
Please let us know if you would like to attend and play or just attend... as we will need to know how many people are going to play the game!!
Top hands will win prizes of course, so come with your p...p...p... poker face on!
