Applying Geocaching to Education
This cache is a part of a pedagogic European Erasmus + project called « Geocaching - Minds on the Move ». Pupils and teachers from seven different countries (France, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Spain) have used Geocaching as an Educational Tool. We hope you’ll enjoy it.

Forse costruita sulle fondamenta di un antico foro romano e cinta da portici su tutti e quattro i lati, questa elegante piazza trapezoidale è da sempre considerata il salotto della città. Al centro spicca la statua di Cavour, risalente al 1864, alla quale fa da sfondo la torre dell’Angelo, probabilmente unico resto di una vecchia fortificazione. Da notare le decorazioni in cotto di alcuni portici e palazzi.

This cache is part of a 7 cache trail in the historic center of Vercelli. You can discover them in sequence or choose the ones you prefer.
Perhaps built on the foundations of an ancient Roman forum and surrounded by arcades on all four sides, this elegant trapezoidal square has always been considered the city parlour. In the center stands the statue of Cavour, dating back to 1864, with the Angel's tower in the background, probably the only remnant of an old fortification. Note the terracotta decorations of some arcades and palaces.
