In Kombination mit dem Eifelsteig bildet die Rur-Olef-Route eine der abwechslungsreichsten Erlebnisschleifen und spiegelt viele Schönheiten der Eifel auf kleinstem Raum wider: Naturnahe Laubwälder im Wechsel mit Wiesen und Feldern, kauzige Pfade, aufregende Felspassagen, romantische Wildbäche und grandiose Offenlandschaften auf den Höhenrücken des Nationalparks Eifel. Sehens- und erlebenswertes wie z.B. die ehemalige NS-Ordensburg Vogelsang, das quirlige Eifelstädtchen Gemünd, Schloss und Schlosskirche in Schleiden oder die schönen Dörfer Olef, Oberhausen und Blumenthal sowie das Wildgehege in Hellenthal mit seiner einzigartigen Greifvogelstation liegen entlang der Strecke.

Wie es bei meinen Langstrecken-Caches zur Tradition geworden ist, ist diese Mission nicht komplex, es ist die Erfahrung der Reise selbst, die das Ziel dieses Cache bildet. Sie müssen nur die Codes finden, die entlang der Wanderung verteilt sind, um die Koordinaten des Finales dieses langen Multi berechnen zu können. Das Ziel dieses Caches: die Entdeckung der Rur-Olef Route! Vielen Dank, dass Sie dieses Ziel respektieren (oder zumindest versuchen zu respektieren).
Hier handelt es sich um ein Naturschutzgebiet, die offiziellen Wege müssen und dürfen zu keiner Zeit verlassen werden.
Der Weg beginnt und endet an der Passage der Rur-Olef-Route durch das Dorf Einruhr. Diese Wanderung ist also eine Schleife, die eine einfache Logistik ermöglicht. Die Hälfte des Weges liegt in Schleiden, wo es kostenlose Parkplätze gibt, so dass Sie unter anderem in einem Hotel Ihrer Wahl in Einruhr übernachten, nach Schleiden fahren und dort das Auto parken können, Wanderung Etappe 1 nach Einruhr, schlafen und Wanderung Etappe 2 zurück zu Ihrem Auto. Natürlich sind auch andere Strategien möglich.
Sie können überall auf dem Weg beginnen und enden und trotzdem alle Codes finden, aber der Schatz liegt irgendwo in der Nähe von Einruhr.

As has become tradition with my long-distance caches, this mission isn't complex, it is the experience of the journey itself that forms the objective of this cache. You only need to find the codes dispersed along the hike in order to be able to calculate the coordinates of the final of this long multi. The objective of this cache: discovering the Rur-Olef Route! Thanks for respecting (or at least try to respect) this objective.
This is a nature reserve, the official ways must and may not be left at any time.
The trail starts and ends at the passage of the Rur-Olef Route through the village of Einruhr. So this hike is a loop, which makes for easy logistics. The halfway point is in Schleiden, where free parking is available, so one of the options available to you is to stay in a hotel of your choosing in Einruhr, drive to Schleiden and park the car there, hike stage 1 to Einruhr, sleep, and hike stage 2 back to your car. Other strategies are of course also possible.
You can start/finish anywhere on the trail and still find all the codes but the treasure is somewhere near Einruhr.
You can divide into as many sections as you want. The official suggestion is to chop it up into 3 stages, however, I did it in 2 to make a comfortable fit into a weekend. Hint: maybe you cancombine with this cache: GC6TR4P
