Geocache Description:

The Lincoln Highway was one of the earliest transcontinental highways for automobiles across the United States of America. Conceived in 1912 by Indiana entrepreneur Carl G. Fisher, and formally dedicated October 31, 1913, the Lincoln Highway ran coast-to-coast from Times Square in New York City west to Lincoln Park in San Francisco. The route went through many changes over the years. The Caches in this series will be placed along the original 1913 route as much as posible.

*PLEASE* Practice safe highway caching by signaling before pulling your geo-mobile completely off the highway, using your four way hazard signals while parked along the side of the highway and by signaling and ensuring that the highway is clear before re-entering.
