Cumberland Reach is a town near Windsor. It is located on the Hawkesbury river. If you follow the river up, you will end up at Warragamba Dam. If you go left, you will end up at Palm Beach.
It is located in the City of Hawkesbury north of Sackville. The locality of Cumberland Reach is unusual in that it is an enclave surrounded completely by the locality of Lower Portland.
The Population as at 2011 was 197.
At one time in its history, there were a number of Ski (Water Ski) Lodges located here.
This is a great location to get away from the rat race.
Camp Ku-Ring-Gai at WP1 is a great location to get back to nature. I have spent many a weekend here. Yes, I am a Scout. Hence my GeoName.
Until December 2017 there was very poor mobile phone service, which meant you could get away from technology. Now there is a new Telstra tower across the river and there is full Telstra service.
This is my very first cache and I have chosen this location as I just love spending time here relaxing.
