Geocache Description:

The Vogrie Cachers welcome you to Vogrie. As well as the parkland there are also two playparks, one near the car parking and another further down. The trees along here all have a tale to tell, and have been here for many years.

This cache has been hidden for the Vogrie VIII event being held on 7th October 2018. Come and enjoy the beautiful autumn colours in the stunning grounds of the historic Vogrie Country Park. There are 11.5 miles of signed footpaths passing through sweeping parkland, woodlands and the River Tyne Valley. There are many fine trees that tend to confuse your GPS, we have tried our hardest to get accurate coordinates but please be warned! Please return the cache exactly as you found it. Enjoy.

The cache IS at the listed coordinates. HUGE thanks to Mr Flight for customising my container for me, and Mrs Flight for letting him have time off from the Muiravonside caches to do so!!!! Solve the puzzle to get the combination to access the log.  The log MUST BE SIGNED to claim this as a find....

The Vogrie Cachers went to France, after all it is the land of wine, bread and cheese! We took four wee tours of different places and they went as follows…

Tour1 : Sisteron to Nyons to Orange to Apt to Pertuis to Marseille and finally to Arles

Tour2 : This was just a short tour, Arras to Compiegne.

Tour3 : A longer tour again, Belley to Lyon to Annonay to Privas to Die to Grenoble and back to Annonay (think HB spotted some cheap wine there!)

Tour4 : La Teste to Libourne to Marmande to Monte-de-Marsan to Orthez and finally to Auch

Our tour may help you find your way in to the cache….

Many thanks to head ranger Jo Cooke and the Midlothian County Rangers for giving us permission to hide the caches.
