Welcome to Rancho Cordova's newest walk/bike trail, the Mather Heritage Trail. This trail connects Mather Air Force Base to the Light Rail Station on Folsom Boulevard. It runs along an old railroad spur that used to connect the tracks at Folsom Blvd to the Base. No longer needed for trains, We're glad to see them re-use the right of way for a much nicer form of transportation.
This is the half way point on the Mather Heritage Trail. There is a nice spot nearby to take a break and look for a cache.
