Geocache Description:

When: Sunday 21st October, 9:30am - 12:00  (if hot or raining, we move inside)

Where: Outside the food court at the Rouse Hill Town Centre. Parking is available within Rouse Hill Town Centre, with 3 hours free.

If you have a name tag, bring it along, otherwise we can provide one to help the newcomers put names to faces.

The coordinates should take you to the southern end of the main food court. Weather permitting, the event will be held in the outside section. If it's raining or if it gets too hot, we'll bring it inside.

The food court is fairly quiet at this time of the morning so the event should be easy to find.  This location is friendly to anyone who is disabled, and there's plenty of space for all of us.  This year the event is in October - partially to avoid the brutal Jan/Feb sun that we've had the last few years, but mostly because I was lazy in arranging it this year!

About the event:

The goal of this event is to:

  • Discuss geocaching! Meet many of the geocachers you've seen online or in cache logs.
  • Exchange and discover coins and travel bugs...bring as many as you can!
  • Find some newly released geocaches and have a good chance of some first to finds
  • Find some new/unique/interesting caches in the area. e.g. Wherigo, EarthCache, Letterbox, etc Have fun.....
  • Meet some new players, or meet some veterans and get some assistance

Don't forget to grab brunch/lunch while you're at the event.

Please mark a "Will attend" if you plan on attending the event. It's also good practice to place the event on your watch list for any updates.

Don’t forget to make an “Attended” log entry afterwards, as this counts as a find.

If you are new to Geocaching, please come and ask questions.  If you are a veteran, please come and share your experiences.

Events are always a great place to pick up hints to those difficult caches, enhance your geocaching skills, improve your search techniques, learn from experienced geocachers and make some great new friends.

If anyone would like to place some caches for the event, just go for it (feel free to message me, or just add a reviewer note on your new cache listing to time the release at the end of this event).

Stay for as little or as long as you like (some of the die hards last time stayed until after 1pm)
See you there!
