Obec je doložená z roku 1550 ako Gruob, neskôr ako Nowa az Grwab (1552), Tott Ayzgrwab (1568), Slowensky Veisgrob (1773), Grob (1808), Slovenský Grob (1920); po maďarsky Tótgurab; po nemecky Slavischeisgrub, Slowakisch-Weissgrub. Obec založili v 1. polovici 16. storočia. Patrila panstvu Pezinok. V 2. polovici 17. storočia a začiatkom 18. storočia ju Pálffyovci prenajali jezuitskému kolégiu v Trnave. V roku 1617 mala 26 celých sedliackych usadlostí a 52 želiarskych rodín, v roku 1720 mala 47 daňovníkov, vinice a krčmu, v roku 1828 mala obec 103 domov a 735 obyvateľov. Zaoberali sa poľnohospodárstvom a vinohradníctvom Obec leží dva kilometre od mestečka Pezinok na rovine vedľa Malých Karpát. Slovenský Grob je známy chovom a predajom husí a kačíc a najmä usporiadavaním husacích hodov vo viacerých známych miestnych reštauračných zariadeniach. Znalci husaciny a dobrého vína chodia za pečenými husami každoročne. K husacine sa podávajú lokše, burčiak a malokarpatské vína. Predhistorické obdobie Slovenského Grobu nebolo doteraz archeologicky spracované, preto sa nemohla vytvoriť predstava o vývoji osídlenia obce. Nálezy, ktoré sa našli v okolitých obciach, potvrdzujú, že územie západného Slovenska bolo osídlené už v neolite a možno predpokladať, že tomu tak bolo aj na území našej obce. Existencia pečate je doložená rokom 1617.Prvá zmienka o obci Monar je uvedená v darovacej listine komesovi Šebušovi pri darovaní zeme Dvornik v roku 1214. V tejto listine je uvedené, že zem Dvorník leží medzi dvoma dedinami, a to Monarom, druhou dedinou Monarom, ktoré obe patrili k Bratislavskému radu, a tretou dedinou komesa Šebuša, ktorú treba stotožniť s dnešným Svätým Jurom. Existenciu dediny Monar potvrdzuje aj zápis z roku 1296, v ktorom sa viedol spor o túto dedinu.

In the second half of the 17th century and the beginning of the 18th century, the Pálffy family rented the Autumn College in Trnava. In 1617 there were 26 entire sedentary settlements and 52 gulat families, in 1720 had 47 taxpayers, wine and taverns, in 1828 the village had 103 homes and 735 inhabitants. They dealt with agriculture and wine-growing The village lies two kilometers from the town Pezinok on the plain next to the Small Carpathians. Slovenský Grob is a known breed and sale of goose and duck and in particular the organization of throwing games in several well-known local restaurants. Experts of gooseberry and good wine roast for roasted geese annually. Loca, burchiak and small carpathian wines are served with gooseberry. The prehistoric period of the Slovenský Grob has not yet been archaeologically processed, so no idea about the development of the settlement of the village could be created. Findings found in surrounding villages confirm that the territory of Western Slovakia has been inhabited since the Neolithic period, and it may well be assumed that this was also the case in the territory of our village. The existence of the seal is evidenced by the year 1617. The first mention of the village of Monar is given in a donation to the commune of Šebusha in the donation of the Dvornik country in 1214. In this document it is stated that the Dvorník land lies between the two villages Monarom, The Council of Bratislava, the third village of Šebusha comet, which must be identified with today's Sa'rom. The existence of the village of Monar was confirmed by the 1296 record of the dispute over this village.
