There was a geocache hidden near here. It was destroyed by the Thomas Fire in December 2017. Out Of The Ashes (OOTA) a new geocache as appeared. This is a pill bottle, under a SPOR, next to its namesake.
On 11-12-18, 3rdwheel and valhikes joined me on a 13-mile hike up Sisar Canyon Road and down Horn Canyon Trail. The mission for this hike:
1. Check on all 51 geocaches to see if they survived the Thomas Fire;
2. Archive those that did not survive in a viable condition and set "Out Of The Ashes" (OOTA) geocaches in their place;
3. Maintain the geocaches that did survive in a viable condition;
4. Replace geocaches where the CO requested that they be replaced;
5. Fill in gaps on the route.
This geocache meets mission #3.
