The top of the mountain is the childhood playground of my wife growing up in this area in the 1950's and 60's. The area provided a 360 view of the Town of Blind River and its structures but the view (still impressive) is now limited to what is known as the West arm of the Blind River. Locals would draw water from the river below for daily household use. They also fished for barbutts and swam in its refreshing waters. My wife who is afraid of heights was surprised she spent so much time up there; must have been the blueberries. Please take care to reposition the geocache container so that the many mugglers that frequent the area will not notice it. Happy Geocaching! In September 2019 and September 2025, the geocache was relocated nearby due to persistent muggle activity. No bushwhacking required, find your way to the top of the mountain then follow the faint trail heading west. Once the geocache is located continue along the faint trail to loop around the backside of the mountain or return the way you came for a second look at the great views. The top of the mountain has a good example of glacial smoothing of the rock particularly on the west side of the crest.
