In 1997 many animals from the ZOO ran away and many died ( SEE PHOTOS ).
On July 1997 in Central Europe heavy rains fall all over Central Europe what cause floods, that affected Poland, Germany and Czech Republic, taking the lives of about 114 people.
The flooding began in Czech Republic, then spread to Poland and Germany. In Poland, it´´´ s considered one of the most disastrous floods in the history of the country and was named the Millennium Flood (Powódź tysiąclecia) or the Great Flood of 1997.
The first rains occurred between 3 and 10 of July and the second between 17 and 22 of July and some studies show that Poland and Germany were affected with floods because some barrage (dam) in Czech Republic were opened to let the water flushed away.
