It always gets to me when I see memorials that were erected by mourning families of young men that died a long way from home during The Great War. The entry columns to the Breadalbane Cemetery memorialise 2 of those young men that grew up in this area and died within days of each other.
The St Silas Anglican Church used to also be here. Trees were planted too close to the church and over time the tree roots undermined the foundations of the church. a decade or so after WW1, the church was demolished.
