A great battle was fought here and an Autobot Transformers fell by the hands of the Decepticons.
The Autobot hid his Energon Cube from the Decepticons, which you must find and sign.
To find the location of the lost Energon cube (container), you must navigate to the following coordinates (after solving the riddles):
N45° 20.3(B + F + G - 4)(D-1)' W075° 41.7(A + C + H - 4)(E - 1)'
Note: The brackets do NOT mean multiplication, each bracket resolves to a single digit.
[FIELD PUZZLE]
You must navigate to the 6 stages and observe your surroundings. The deceased Autobot is located at Stage 6 (which is also the posted coordinates of this cache page: N 45° 20.224' W 75° 41.848'). It is recommended to find each stage in order...
At stages 1-5, you will need to observe your surroundings. What you find there will be associated with a number that you will need in order to find the lost Energon cube. The "corresponding number" and coordinates to visit are listed below.
The corresponding number for each "object" that is found at the stages:
- 1 = It looks like an Autobot hideout, but inside is actually an elevator which leads deep underground to a hidden Autobot base. You can also see several ventilation pipes around the structure leading deep underground.
- 2 = A single ventilation pipe leading to a hidden underground Autobot base (capped by the evil Decepticons)
- 3 = An Autobot mobility device and misc. Transformer skin (perhaps an Autobot was killed here and buried hastily by a Decepticon)
- 4 = A valve used to pump liquid Energon out from a deep underground Autobot base. The hose has been removed and the valve closed due to Decepticon presence.
- 5 = Several large liquid Energon storage containers.
Destinations to "Observe" at:
- A = Number of 'thing' found at: N 45° 20.271' W 75° 41.716' (corresponds to Stage 1)
- B = Number of 'thing' found at: N 45° 20.187' W 75° 41.816' (corresponds to Stage 2)
- C = Number of 'thing' found at: N 45° 20.177' W 75° 41.827' (corresponds to Stage 3)
- D = Number of 'thing' found at: N 45° 20.197' W 75° 41.818' (corresponds to Stage 4)
- E = Number of 'thing' found at: N 45° 20.208' W 75° 41.835' (corresponds to Stage 5)
Now navigate to the deceased Autobot (Stage 6 - N 45° 20.224' W 75° 41.848') and answer the following questions:
- F = 2 if the Autobot bears the symbol of a true Autobot, or 0 if it does not
- G = 2 if the Autobot is a car, and 0 if the Autobot is a truck.
- H = 2 if the Autobot is normal side up, and 0 if the Autobot is upside down (i.e. wheels facing up)
Note: I put the 'terrain' at a 3 because the journey to the final Energon Cube will involve either lots of wet mud (i.e. wear boots), or a very steep gradient for those that want to avoid the wet mud. This is not an ideal location, but you get to see other garbage that was dumped there by the Decepticons. It also looks like they may have killed other Autobots and buried them them here; not bothering to bury all of their mobility devices.
Note: If you are "bad" and receive the final coordinates from someone else, please at least visit Stage 6 which has the Deceased Autobot - since this is supposed to be the 'fun' part of this series.
Be sure to private message me if you know of any other undiscovered Autobot burial grounds (old cars/trucks/motorcycles/skidoos/boats or random scraps of metal) in, or near, Ottawa ;) - and don't forget to 'favorite' these if you are enjoying the series.
