Nearby is Lake Shirley, a water ski training facility. The lake was proposed to alleviate annual spring runoff and flooding problems in South Transcona. Construction began after the Great Flood of 1997 and completed in Spring 1998. Watch your step here as there may be water in the ditch at some times of the year. Difficulty rating could be higher depending on how you get to the cache.
