GIFF Winnipeg 2018 - A Night of Stars
Join us and thousands of geocachers worldwide that are taking part in a global geocaching movie experience. The GIFF 2018 film reel will contain an hour of carefully selected finalist films made by geocachers, specifically for geocachers.
Bring your snacks and non-alcoholic beverages for another geocaching movie night!
Since studies have shown that popcorn is basically the best way a person can consume corn, so it will be freely provided.
Date: Thursday, November 8, 2018
Time: 7:00p-8:00pm
Location: This year's festival will take place at the Louis Riel Library at 1168 Dakota Street in South St. Vital. The library has a private room, free parking and it is on a bus route.
What to bring: Snacks and soft drinks (popcorn will be provided)
The event is family-friendly, so bring the whole gang (even your weird uncle, Seamus*)!
For the last several years Geocaching HQ has invited geocachers to make and submit creative, short films about geocaching . This event is a great opportunity to view the films made by the 16 finalists as part of this year's Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF). And it's an opportunity to enjoy some laughs and have some fun with fellow geocachers at the same time.
A special souvenir will once again be released for this official GIFF event. All attendees who post an "Attended" log entry will earn this priceless^ and slightly-coveted souvenir.
Attendance also accumulates 15 points towards your Social Butterfly souvenir for November.
There will be free popcorn and prize(s)!
But feel free to bring your own drinks and any other "quieter" snacks.
