Audubon Acres offers many options for learning about the history and biology of this area along the South Chickamauga Creek. This cache will take you to a small natural wetland. Sturdy footwear and bug spray is recommended.
Predictably, it is along the Wetlands Trail ! ;) Plastic water-resistant container, between the trail and the actual sinkhole/wetland. The trail and this whole area may be wet and muddy after a recent rain.
Park at the visitor's center and grab a trail map. Feel free to let the staff know that you are geocaching ! (All caches on the premises are approved by Audubon Acres management.)
Cross the railroad track (carefully!) and head toward the creek. (The ONLY approved way to safely cross the creek is via the swinging bridge!)
