Ilustracja

The Cathedral Basilica of the Holy Cross was built in the XV century, on the site was before a structure of the XI and XIII centuries.

The Cathedral was rebuilt several times, now with 2 towers with 73 meters hight, is the tallest bulding in the city.
In the temple there is a painting of the Virgin of Opole, brought here permanently in 1702.

In the Cathedral there is the tomb of Duke Jan II Dobry, the last male member of the Opole branch, died in Racibórz on 27 March 1532 and was buried in the Opole Cathedral.
