You're looking for a reasonably sized cache located on the River Gwash. It has plenty of space for small trackables. If you're smart, you won't need wellies. Please take anything in the cache that you fancy (apart from the log and pencil of course). There's plenty of space to leave trackables and some other random stuff. Please hang the cache back on the hook! When I first placed a cache here (https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC4GMP7_gwash-xing) it was the hot summer of 2013. The Gwash here was not a river or even a stream, it was barely flowing and becoming stagnant. Pretty much like this year, 2018. During the winters following 2013 I witnessed the trickles turning into torrents, flooding the banks and sweeping away all in the Gwash's path. Since then the Xing was washed away numerous times and the odd trackable was lost... This part of the Gwash is fed by a stream (and a couple more) from Knossington. It is a tributary of Rutland Water (small county, BIG pond!) which then heads out to the River Welland and on to The Wash, where Norfolk meets Lincolnshire, then finally to the North Sea. With 'Gwash Xing Phoenix' I decided to try and *restrain* things, rather than have them float away. I'd like to try and not lose any more caches or trackables when the Gwash gets in full flow. Hence things are a little tied up. So when you replace the cache, please hide it an all the restrainers, as well as you can!
