The cache is in the Akatarawa Forest and is on the shortest track to the Virtual cache "Big Mountain". This track is steep in places and flat in others. Read the warnings on the Big Mountain cache page. Make sure you go prepared – take a good drink and some warm clothing as the weather can change very rapidly and is often very different to that on the coast or in Wellington..
I and two others on our way up to the Virtual stopped here for our longest rest and so hence, the cache name. It is about halfway up the hill both in altitude and distance.
The cache can be found nestled at chest height in the big tree about 1m from the track. The tree has a rusty tin lid nailed to it as a marker.
