Geocache Description:

This cache is tribute to the original one placed here in 2001 by Hagrid.  An old cache like that should be remembered.

Holyhead Mountain (Mynydd Tŵr in Welsh: from (pen)twr, meaning "tower") is the highest mountain on Holy Island, Anglesey, and the highest in the county of Anglesey, North Wales.

On one is side is South Stack, The cliffs are part of the RSPB South Stack Cliffs bird reserve, with a bird hide at Elin's Tower.

On the other is The Holyhead Breakwater Country Park.  Opened in 1990 and located on the site of an old quarry, which supplied stone for the 1.5 miles Holyhead Breakwater, the longest in Europe.  Part of the park is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Cache placed with the kind permission of The RSPB.

Info: The original container is in use as the new cache and the original log books are there to view. The original location is unchanged, we've just added a new log book.
