Geocache Description:

Boneyard Beard

Old mans beard is a lichen that grows on conifers all across the region, and looks just like gnarly, crusty, green chin whiskers growing from branches.  This cache is hidden amongst a big patch of it, helping it to stay camoflaged.

Dryden's first mini power trail.  This 45 minute walk has been a favorite of ours since we moved here 4 years ago.  We've had one cache on this trail for a few years.  Time for some more.  Each of the caches are in locations that are accessible on foot or by snowshoe, and each cache's hint is in the title.  The trail is not wheelchair accessible, but it's close.  So much work has been done to clean it up, you could probably take a sturdy stroller through here now.  Parking can be found at the main trailhead off of Mavis Lake Access Road.  Because we were hoping to add to the number of caches that children could enjoy as well, none of the caches are very difficult, although some might be a bit of a reach for those who are very vertically challenged.
