Der Sender Celerina (offiziell: Mehrzweckanlage Celerina) ist ein 90 Meter hoher Stahlfachwerkturm in der Nähe von Celerina/Schlarigna, welcher 1973 errichtet wurde und zur Verbreitung von UKW-Hörfunk-, Fernsehprogrammen und zur Realisierung von Richtfunkverbindungen dient. (Quelle: Wikipedia)
Die Solaranlage wurde auf der Sendeanlage in Celerina (GR) realisiert und im September 2011 in Betrieb genommen. Sie weist einen jährlichen Energieertrag von 79'430 kWh auf, was einer CO2-Ersparnis von 39.7 Tonnen entspricht. Um die Sonneneinstrahlung optimal nutzen zu können, ist die Anlage auf einer Stahlkonstruktion in einem Winkel von 55 Grad errichtet. Damit wird die effiziente Sonnenbestrahlung auch im Winter gewährleistet und der Schnee kann optimal von den Solarmodulen abgleiten. «Mit überdurchschnittlich vielen Sonnenstunden ist das Engadin der ideale Standort für die neue Solaranlage», ist Swisscom überzeugt. Der gewonnene Solarstrom wird direkt ins Netz der Elektrizitätswerke der Gemeinde St. Moritz eingespeist. (Quelle tritec.ch)
