7.15. Archive or unarchive a geocache
Archiving a geocache is meant to be a permanent action. Only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ can unarchive caches. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if the cache meets the current geocaching guidelines.

If a cache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

Update May 2020: Unfortunately, this cache appears to have been vandalised, in quite an odd way; the ammo box originally containing this cache has been seemingly stolen and replaced with a low-quality tackle box. I have no idea who did this, and why they did so; I'm quite disappointed to say the least, and I hope in future the person who did this will consider contacting the cache owner first. Unlike the ammo box, the tackle box is not water proof, and the cache appears to have become partially waterlogged. Luckily the log book is water proof, but the cache is a bit of a mess. However, the cache is still there, and other than a trackable that was in the old cache, nothing else appears missing. Feel free to visit this cache, but please understand it is not in the condition I originally left it in. Hopefully in the future I will be able to restore this cache to its full glory. (Note the hint below is now invalid, too.)

The LeFevre Peninsula is home to many quiet suburbs and shopping centres, but the northern area of the peninsula is quite mysterious, and houses many secrets. One of my close friends refers to it as "the most interesting place in Adelaide".

This cache is placed at the most northern publicly accessible point on the LeFevre Peninsula. Sandwiched between the shipping terminal, two power stations, the submarine factory, Mutton Cove and the Excelsior shipwreck, and with an old quarantine station nearby, a trek to this cache should give you a good dose of the mystery that surrounds the tip of the peninsula.

As its name suggests, this cache has a "global" theme. Since this cache is located near a shipping terminal, a WWII quarantine station, and what is almost a naval base, this cache finds itself in a very "global" location. The cache contains (at least at the time of placement) a flag from every country in the world, and then some. I encourage each cacher to take a flag of their choice, and share their chosen flag in their online log.

If your car can handle it, I suggest driving up the dirt road (see the additional waypont), parking at the end, and walking north to the GZ. Note that just before the GZ, a section of the path has eroded, so please take care. The walk is about 700m.

Please ensure the cache is closed properly after visiting (ensuring all watertight bags are sealed), and replace the cache as you found it.

This cache has a FTF geocoin, which the lucky first visitor is encouraged to move along and help it complete its goal. Their name will appear on the coin's page.
