In 2007, my brother and I (10 and 12, respectively) placed a geocache each in the North Haven Marina area. As kids, we loved the thrill of watching the number of logs increase as people visited our caches.
10 years have passed since then, my brother and I had both moved on from geocaching, and both caches have since disappeared. After a long break from geocaching, I finally returned to the hobby, and noticed that there was one particularly cache-less area on the LeFevre Peninsula: The North Haven Marina, our old proving ground.
And so, this cache symbolizes a throwback to those two caches from many years ago. The North Haven Marina is one of Adelaide's best kept secrets, and I personally think a cache is the perfect excuse to visit this amazing area.
There are a few car parks on the main road, I suggest parking there and walking your way over to the GZ.
This is a nano cache, which only contains a log scroll, so you will need to bring your own writing implement. Please reseal the cache tighly and replace as you found it. Note that the scroll takes a bit of effort to "rewind", please keep this in mind if you plan to open this cache in a rush.
