WRW#23: Entwined in Mystery

The cache, a camo-taped preform tube, is hidden in the entwined root systems of two ancient riverside bushes which have become inextricably combined. One is definitely a hawthorn - the red fruits being diagnostic, the other has not been identified . . . if anyone knows what the mystery tree is, please note it in your log and I will enhance the cache description accordingly!
The two plants are so intermingled that it is difficult to trace the roots and branches of each through the tangled mixed growth.
The cache is the second in the Addingham High Mill to Farfield section of the Wharfe River Walk series of caches and is located along the long-distance Dales Way Path. There are lovely river views from here particularly south towards High Mill and its weir.
To reach the cache location: park in the High
Mill parking area @ N 53 56.874 W 1 52.595 then head north following the Dales Way path into and through the Olicana cottages, then along the riverside trail to the cache.
