Geocache Description:

This is a re-incarnation of the original Trip Trap which has been found and restored to its former location. Disabled cache and find log etc is here:

The beautiful village of Newholm cum Dunsley, within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and mentioned in the domesday book of ~1087 makes this cache well worth a visit.

Spot the world's silliest sundial in the middle of the village pond! How are you meant to read it? This is the result of a small parish council with a budget and nothing to do.

Park in the village of Newholm. Don't park in the car park outside the village institute, it's private (and vigorously defended). Don't drive down the dead end road (Howlgate Lane), there's nowhere to park down there and turning round is a problem!

This cache is best visited in spring (for the fantastic cherry blossoms), summer (it's sooooo greeeeeennnn) or after a snowfall in winter.

If you go when it's wet, take your wellies!
