Geocache Description:


This cache is in the Barossa Goldfields, an area known for gold mining and prospecting in the second half of the nineteenth century. There are mines everywhere and plenty of signs warning visitors about the mine shafts. We recommend parking in the car park on Allendale Road and walking in. If you have been here before and read all the information signs, the walk to the cache will take between 10 and 15 minutes. If you continue walking south, you can access caches in the Para Wirra Recreation Park. BYO pen.
