K and K (Feral Kat) had a geocache very near this location. It was destroyed by the Thomas Fire in December 2017. Out of the Ashes come new caches.
This is a pill bottle hidden in some smaller rocks on the upslope side of the trail less than six feet past a larger rock if you are heading up the trail.
At one time the Horn Canyon Trail was fully populated with geocaches, an OVC tradition. But over the years, a few geocaches have gone missing and been archived. In December 2017, the Thomas Fire destroyed eleven of the 13 remaining geocaches. Today, hiking with ShearBear64, I am returning this trail to its "fully populated" glory.
