Geocache Description:

I recently came across an archived puzzle cache GC2HFMD Pity the Fool 2
This was placed by Geckoh in 2010.
After completing the puzzle I went and found the cache which was still in place.
The previous find was 4 years ago on 8/10/14.

With permission of Geckoh I have used the original container and log in this hide.

So if you found the original this will be your chance to sign the log twice.

To get to the cache I followed the low level track and down to the Bendigo Battery site which is on the edge of a stream. I then rock hopped up the stream crossing it many times with depths at in some places above my knees. When I was confronted by a waterfall and large boulder I had to take my pack off and crawl through a small gap under the edge of the boulder. When eventually it was not possible to carry on up the stream anymore I bush bashed up the steep slope until I got to a flat area. This I followed for about 300m until it met the stream again. Then there were 2 more crossings before it was another steep climb out of the stream bed. At least there was no supplejack to contend with here.

The higher up I got and the closer I got to GZ the more I huffed and puffed.

When I finally got to GZ I came across some some relics from the mining in the area.

Click here for more information about mining in the valley

Then it was an easy find.

I have a copy of my GPX file if you want it but I 2 pity the fool that follows it to GZ.
