Welcome to literally my neck of the woods. All through my childhood these hills have been my playground. Thru the years things have changed a bit but all in all nature is still beautiful and overcomes man and his litter. When I was a boy everyday was like Christmas when it came to exploring these woods. You never knew what animal or unique natural wonders you would discover. Although the well tenders road wasn't here when I was little (it appeared about 20yrs ago) this stream was. I could always catch my fair share of Cray fish and salamanders in and along it's banks. This is a fairly easy find and a small stream is perfect for the tiny cachers to play in while you sign the log. You can park about 30yards from the cache or if you don't abuse your cache-mobile like I do you can park about 180 away at the pull off above along black hawk road. Enjoy yourself out there on the hunt for the sometimes elusive smilies
