Damávand is highest summit in Iran as well as all Middle East with te altitude variating from 5609 m (most conservative value) to 5671 m (most patriotic value). The climb is a basically a walk-up, but dont underestimate low oxygen level, cold temparatures and possible sudden weather changes. Damávand is also a favourite ski-touring destination in spring season (March-April).
