Geocache Description:

Hidden amongst the gorgeous old buildings and cobbled pavement of Friar Gate sits Pickfords' House; the professional showcase and family home of Georgian architect Joseph Pickford and his wife Mary. Now the museum illustrating aspects of domestic life from the 18th to the 20th centuries, Pickfords' House shows the contrast between the master and the servant, the grandeur of Georgian architecture and the changes that occurred in the house over its 250-year life. The elegant Grade 1 listed Georgian four-storey town house was built by the prominent architect Joseph Pickford in 1770 for his own family.

To locate the cache you will need to take a walk around the museum locating clues as you go. If you are able, you should definitely take a look upstairs to see the fantastic temporary exhibits and toy theatre gallery too.

The museum is only open Tuesday through to Saturday (10am - 5pm) and the cache should only be attempted during these hours.

It is FREE to access!

The staff are fully aware of the cache but shouldn't be asked for help on where to find it smiley
