Odile Guérin, conférencière multicarte, n'est pas peu fière de son cadran, elle l'a conçu et fait installer au sol lors de la réfection de la promenade de Tresmeur. Elle fait découvrir le cadran solaire, mais aussi la boussole, le soleil, la lune, les pierres, etc. chaque jeudi matin à 10 h en juillet et août.
« Géo » comme géologie, géomagnétisme, géodésique, géographie, « Sol » comme cadran solaire, soleil, lune et « Mar » comme paramètres maritimes. La boussole est divisée en 36 tranches de 10 degrés Les marées, les lunes, les douzièmes, tout est expliqué par Odile.Des pierres de 2 milliards d'année.Le cadran solaire est de type horizontal analemmatique et il présente 3 innovations. D'abord il est circulaire (le cadran comporte 24 heures, ce qui n'est pas le cas des autres cadrans), puis il est inversé et enfin il est de face, c'est nouveau. Vous pouvez trouver l'heure exacte en utilisant votre ombre ou une canne, vous corrigez de la longitude (par rapport au méridien de Greenwich) vous ajoutez 14 minutes et vous mesurez l'équation du temps (parce que la terre ne tourne pas rond) vous l'ajoutez ou la retranchez (suivant la date) et vous obtenez l'heure exacte. Les pierres forment la circonférence du GéoSolMar proviennent de Trébeurden. Le passant qui déambule sur la promenade ne se doute pas qu'il foule au pied des pierres âgées de 2 milliards d'années, les plus vieilles de France. Ce sont les pierres qui vont de 0 à 3 h, les plus jeunes, elles, ont 300 millions d'années. Les pierres centrales de la boussole sont en granites extraits de carrières. Le granite (faciès Canton et Ile Grande) a étémassivement extrait à Pleumeur-Bodou et Trébeurden à partir du milieu du XIXème siècle. Le granite rose de la Clarté, toujours extrait aujourd’hui à Perros Guirec, pour des raisons techniques, n’a été exploité qu’auXXème siècle:
Granite de Canton (que l’on trouveà Lan Kerellec et Goas Treiz)
Granite de la Clarté (que l’on trouve à l’Ile Milliau et au Castel),
Granite de l’Ile Grande (que l’on trouve à Notenno et Penvern)
Pour les pierres qui composent le tour proviennent de:
roche magmatique = issue du refroidissement ± proche de la surface d’un magmaformé en profondeur par fusion de roches préexistantes
roche métamorphique = issue dela transformation (par température et pression élevées) de roches formées antérieurement
roche sédimentaire = formée à la surface de la Terre par accumulation d’éléments biologiques ou issus de l’érosion d’autres roches

The central stones of the compass are in granite extracted from quarries.
