Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Opole (German Polnisches Consulate in Oppeln) - Polish consular office operating in the interwar period in then Oppeln was located in the Nº1 of Konsularna street
A consular post with the rank of consulate general was appointed on April 1, 1920 as the representative of the Polish government at the Inter-allied Commission.
From 1920 the consulate was located in the building of the "Bank of Farmers", (Banku Rolników) at Nikolaistraße 36a (Mikołowska St., now Książąt Opolskich). Right behind the Cathedral (See photos).
After the liquidation of the Commission in 1922, the branch was moved to Bytom.
And in 1931, the consulate returned to Opole to represent Polish affairs in the German Opole regency (Regierungsbezirk Oppeln).
In the rank of general consulate, he was located on the Pasieka Island (Pascheke) at Eichstraße 1 (now Konsularna St.).
The bulding previously served as an orphanage of the Prussian House (Preussenhaus).
In 1938 his rank was reduced to the consulate and it functioned until 1939.
